Privacy Policy
The short version
Hidden in the Story™ collects no data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party services. Your progress is saved only on your own device and never leaves it.
Who we are
Hidden in the Story™ is made by What It Is, What It Do? LLC ("we"). This policy covers the game on every platform we publish it on, including the Apple App Store, Google Play and Steam.
What the game stores, and where
The game remembers which scenes you've unlocked, your stars and badges, your stickers and verse cards, and your settings (such as volume and difficulty). All of this is stored on your device by the game itself. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the game deletes it.
If a platform you play on offers its own cloud save or achievements (for example Steam Cloud or Game Center), that feature is run by the platform under its own privacy policy and your own account with it. We don't receive that data.
What we don't do
- We don't collect personal information of any kind: no names, emails, locations, contacts, photos or device identifiers.
- We don't show ads, and we don't use advertising or analytics software.
- We don't use cookies or tracking in the game.
- The game doesn't need an internet connection and makes no network requests of its own.
- There is no chat, no user-generated content and no way to contact other players inside the game.
Children
The game is designed for children and families. Because it collects no information at all, it collects no information from children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws by never collecting data in the first place.
Purchases
If you buy the game, the purchase is handled by the store you bought it from (Apple, Google or Valve). We receive sales reports from those stores that don't identify you personally. The game itself has no in-app purchases.
If you email us
If you write to support@wiiwid.com, we'll use your email address only to reply to you. We don't add it to any list or share it.
Changes to this policy
If the game ever starts doing something covered by this policy (for example syncing progress between devices), we'll update this page and the date at the top before that version is released.
